Bachelor thesis in customer satisfaction

So, I've "finally" gotten to my last year of my Bachelor degree in Tourism Management (how scary isn't that?) and we're in the process of writing our Bachelor thesis. Our topic is (roughly) customer satisfaction at a hotel in the Oslo-region, Voksenåsen Kultur- og Konferansehotell. Like you see in the picture we've been here for a while, eaten a bit of crap and made a big mess. It actually looks worse in real life ;)

The process is long, hard and draining. It is also interesting and we learn a lot, so let's take the good with bad and appreciate the company we've got ;) Long days like these usually bring with it a lot of bad humor, and I've got a feeling we're just getting started.

In other news, Sir Alex Ferguson is retiring at the end of the season. That is the second thing that's been occupying me today. That news just sucked! But I can't say I blame him or am too surprised. He's been around for a long time and has had an amazing career. All I want to say, is: THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! You'll never be forgotten.

My first lecture in Social Media

Even if the lectures started three weeks ago, I haven't been able to go due to work. So I'm glad to say I've finally been in class today.

The topic today was blogging, and it got me thinking that I need to step up my game. True enough, I blog mostly for my own benefit and interest, but it is fun to see that people read it.

I tried once before, but I'm gonna give it another go. If anyone has suggestions for me about what to write about, just comment and I'll take it into consideration and promise to do my best : )

I think Social Media is fun and reading our curriculum, a book called Groundswell, really gets you thinking it's more to it than just to write something. It's easy on a personal level, cos you don't really have to think too much about it. Celebrities however, need to watch what they say and do. I don't know how many people have been talked about in a negative way, due to something they wrote. Some have even been sued.

Many businesses know that they have to be online, but they don't know how. It's important to do it the right way, otherwise it can bite you later on, sometimes sooner rather than later.

For everyone who are interested in social media, I can recommend Groundswell by Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff. I haven't finished reading it yet, (I mean, come on, I'm still only a student. Can't expect me to finish the curriculum already ; ) ) but so far I like it and it's easy to read.

Enjoy the rest of your day! In an hour or so I'm going to "lead" our first subject-luncheon, so wish me luck!

Happy weekend!

Happy happy weekend, everybody :D

It's been a long week with school, work, projects, assignments, social happenings and football.

This weekend will be spent studying some more (cos let's face it, I'm a bit behind), watching a bit of football and some series, and a house warming party at my best friend's house tomorrow night. Think that'll be good : ) All though I'm not sure they can quite call it a house warming party seeing as they've lived there for about 8 months or so, but why care about that technicality right? ; )

Couldn't make up my mind on which picture to choose, so decided to use all of them.
And by the way, if anyone feels like coming over here to give me a massage I wouldn't really mind that ; )

Hope you'll all have a great weekend with lots of fun! Enjoy!

Tuesday morning at my place...

Good morning everybody! : ) Hope you've all had a good night. I have, even tough I've had all sorts of weird dreams :p And it was equally hard getting out of bed. But I'm a busy girl and just had to get up, so here I am. Sitting in bed working on the third (of five) service quality assignments.

This time it's about how companies can separate themselves from other companies. Still don't feel like I quite know what I'm doing here, but gotta get going since we're handing it in on Friday.

There's a lot happening this week, actually from now until Christmas. So let's hear it for December 15th, huh. That's when I got this semesters last exam ; ) Also looking forward to Champions League tonight! The absolute highlight of my day today!! :D

Hope you'll all have a good day. I'm really gonna try to blog more often from now on about all sorts of things.
xoxo
