All hail Sergio Ramos!

Let's face it. I wouldn't be me if I didn't write about this :p

So, Real Madrid beat Barcelona 1-0 (after 2x15 extra) i Copa del Rey last night. This is their first trophy since 2007 (I think. Not completely up to date on Real). Anyway... It just figures that the first trophy they win in a few years, it would be Cristiano Ronaldo to score and José Mourinho to lead them there. Watch out for the Portuguese, ey?

However, this is not why I decided to post today. The reason is, as the title suggests, to hail Sergio Ramos! He has been a trend at Twitter all day and with good reason. You'd think that when they finally got a trophy, they'd want to hold on to it, right? Wrong! What Ramos did when he got his hands on it, was drop in from the top of the bus! I mean. That's a nice one. On his Twitter page (everything is Twitter these days, isn't? ;) ) he wrote that he didn't drop it. It jumped off the bus on its own! Well, that's says it all, doesn't, when even the trophies want nothing to do with Real Madrid. I'm just saying ;p

Well. It isn't actually free though, cos there were many cops and other Madrid-helping suckers who fetched it out again. So it will be fixed and put in the cabinet where it, all joking aside, belongs. At least for now. Real did play better than Barcelona yesterday and did deserve to win, so congratulations to them! Enjoy it while it lasts (Champions League semi finals are coming up next week). Let's see who has the last laugh of the rivals.

Anyway, have a good Easter, everyone! Try to remember why we celebrate it. And no, it's not so that we'll get a good rest (or lack of rest if you spend it partying) before the end of the semester.

Happy Easter Break

Hey everybody!

So today at 12.45 Easter Break was upon us. We walked out of the lecture a bit lighthearted, but also a bit freaked out, cuz this means; EXAMS! And four of them! They'll come hot and heavy at us like lightning from a clear sky. Or maybe not quite. I mean, we have know about them for a long time. But did that make us start studying before now? Ehm, no. Not really. Motivation has been on an all-time-low this semester, and payback is coming. I can only speak for myself, but these next few weeks will be spent with my nose in the books.

The only thing that will interfere with school is that beautiful game we call football ; ) This weekend in particular will be great! It starts of tomorrow afternoon with the FA Cup semi final between Manchester United and Manchester City, in other words; an all Manchester derby. Hopefully my boys will silence those noise neighbors. Then at 22.00 Real Madrid and Barcelona meet again to see if there's any excitement left in La Liga. We all know how it went the last time around (and if you don't, I'll be happy to tell you! ;p Barcelona beat the c**p out of Real and sent them back to Madrid with a 5-0 loss! Who had expected that? Not me at least). Within these next 18 days or so, these two teams will meet four (!) times, so I'm thinking my head could possibly explode. On Sunday however, we turn to Premier League where Arsenal will host Liverpool to see who will get the point both teams so sorely need. One to challenge United who's at the top of the table, and the other will fight for the chance to play in Europe next season. In other words: drama, drama, drama all around ; )

I would also like to give a dedication of sorts to all who were affected by the Hillsborough tragedy in 1989. May you all find the peace and justice you deserve! You will never be forgotten!

Giggsy

I saw Manchester United - Chelsea yesterday and I got to say; I LOVE THIS TEAM!!! Seriously! United till I die! For sure!

There's so much I could have said, but I'm only going to say this: The only thing that's wrong with Ryan Giggs is that he can't play forever! A lot has been said about Barcelona and how we've all run out of words, but I feel the same way about Giggs. I don't know if I'll miss anyone else as much as I'll miss him the day he retires (except Ferguson himself, but he's not a player, so it doesn't count ;p )

That's all I wanted to say at this point. All hail The Red Devils! :D

Hey hey! I just wanted to say I'm still here. Haven't really had too much to blog about lately. It's pretty much been kinda quiet ; )

Yesterday was a really beautiful day, so I sat outside while looking through and organizing my Statistics notes at my friends house (exams are coming up fast and furious). It was amazing, but this being Norway and April, that weather doesn't last too long. Today it's grey and rainy. But maybe it's not so bad, considering I've got class later on.

I'm going home today though : ) Going to watch United - Chelsea at my aunts house. Wasn't the original plan, but plans change ; ) I'm going to be really nervous later on! 1-0 is a scary result for the return leg, but United have a good history with it, so we'll see. We'll at least be cheering them on! Come on, you Red Devils!! Make us proud : D
